The only thing is some home videos have extra footage and WWE seems to edit some events on home video.

And the picture quality is usually better but some Licensed themes and controverisal events can be edited out on home video.

- Some themes are replaced by the wrestler's old theme (as WWE is too cheap to pay the recording artist to use it. Such as Stacy's Kid Rock - Legs, is not on DVDs, but her old theme replaces it). - Some chants are edited out to make it sound better (ie, "boring" chants). - They edit out fuck ups (such as Ultimo Dragon tripping at WrestleMania). - They usually edit out adverts (such as when they go "WWE ? is brought to you live by ??") The worse case of editing was the WWE WrestleMania XX home video (not DVD), as they cut like 3 or 4 matches out. To make the event, I think, 3 hours. They could have done double tapes (like with Mania IV back in the day), but they decided not to.

If you can get a decent digital recording... PPV > Home Video.

I think it sux hard that they edit out chants and screw ups. If they want to edit something out, edit out some of the stupid comments that the announcers make.

Yeah man ppv kicks home videos but. I always love the unedited stuff. But it is only better if you have digital cable or satellite.

Damn! I never knew they did that! so how did they actually edit the Ultimo fuck up ? they just showed the fans when he messed up ? or what ?
I Just download my PPV's from mIRC, full and ripped of Satellite, the quality is normally really good..

I have always taped my ppvs and have only bought the ones they never showed in the uk. Like the early In your Houses. Plus this past Armageddon as it wasnt shown here in UK. I dont see the point getting home video when i reckon having the event when it was shown live better. And i dont really see any quality defference with the two as my vcr is brand new. The only thing are the channel logos on top but thats minor.
