Ok lads, New poll time !!! When did you like wrestling the best? When you where a kid? When the business got exposed more (late 90's), or now, when you know everything? I liked wrestling the best when I was a kid, in the old days with Hogan, Warrior, Andre, Steamboat, Savage, Honky, Bundy, Heenan and all the others. I was such an mark back then I almost could cry when my hero (Hogan was my God at that time, lol) lost. I remember screaming and yelling my lungs out when Warrior beat Hogan, when Bundy broke Hogan's rips on SNME, when Orndorff turned on Hogan and all those kind of things I also didn't knew a damn thing about how wrestling was 'backstage'. I thought it was all real. Bobby Heenan said this in his shoot interview, the fans know too much know, just like a Magican revealing his tricks. Boy in the 1980's it where great days as a kid. Sometimes I really wish that was the case right now, knowing nothing about the business and marking out for my hero's.

Possibly as a kid, everythin was magical then wasn't it, aww bless...
But when i watched again in 2000, after not seein it for 7 years, it was how far they'd come that impressed me most. The tv shows were like ppv's back then, with a star vs a star, instead of a star vs a no name jobber. and it's this quantum leap forward that got me watching again!
I think wrestling's best era, was the one i missed! but it's class going back and catching up on what happened!

This is quite hard. I loved wrestling as a kid. You had a certain feeling watching Hogan, Savage, Jake the snake etc. But i will have to go with end 1997 - mid 1999.
That in my opinion will be the best era ever. There will never be one like it and its sad but true. The WWF could do no wrong. Austin was walking tall and DX runned the show. Along with a variety of personas shown by Mick Foley. The Rock was a corperate champ who had big fat sideburns with 10,000 shirts! So many catchy phrases like "Roody Poo", "Suck it", "Do you smell what the Rock is cookin?" "Hello Ladies" "And thats the bottom line coz SC said so!" etc. etc..... The company was 1 and didnt have 2 brands. Every Raw was unmissable!

I voted when i was a kid. Everything was just so magical. EVERY PPV meant something it was just so much larger than life. & i also thought wow these guys really hate each other. I also feel that i grew up in a special time for wrestling. Because when Wrestlemania 1st started i was 12 years old & it was just kick ass. Plus i remember when i was a kid my neighbor had just gotton a sattelite & he got all the ppvs for free wich was cool. The only regret i have is why the Hell didnt i record back then???

i havent been watching for more than 5 years but it was best back then. I could never wait for the monday morning at 6 oclock when i would sneak downstairs and watch a taped ppv.
When the rock lost i was always gutted and would be really mad at school all day.
When the spoilers started coming too me and i began too relise what it actually was i would say it ruined it. The web in general ruined wrestling. How many times do you here "oh that was a great show" it is always negative even if the show was good the web picked out the bad points. This in turn made me see the bad parts of wrestling which tbh is the reason why we all think its crap today.
I never noticed botches or blade jobs or talking before i began surfing the web. But now i see everything negative in a match.
I hate that in a way i never look forward too a ppv i couldnt care less if i miss it or didnt watch it. Whereas say 3 years ago i would have been in a fit if it hadnt taped etc.
the web sucks and thats final

I votet for the late 90´s cause in 97 - 00 there were so many great superstars and gimmicks on the top such as Hart, Austin, Rock, Triple H, DX, Ministry.

Has to be between 1989 and 1993 for me - especially 91, my good god that whole year was great - Summerslam 91 is still my fav PPV of all time!
